From Bot Noise to Real Insights: How Jobrapido Achieved True Marketing ROI
Jobrapido is a global leader in recruitment marketing, connecting employers with talent through powerful programmatic technology and performance-driven media buying. As bot-driven traffic inflated costs and distorted performance metrics, the company adopted DataDome. By successfully filtering out 15% of invalid traffic, the AI-powered bot and fraud protection restored full visibility into genuine user activity. As a result, Jobrapido improved its campaign ROI, reduced Google Cloud expenses, and freed its teams from time-consuming manual analysis.
The challenge: Fake traffic polluting insights
Jobrapido is a global leader in job search and programmatic recruitment, redefining how people find jobs and how recruiters reach talent. Active in 58 countries, its marketplace connects more than 120 million registered jobseekers with relevant opportunities. Every day, the platform handles huge volumes of web traffic. The company depends on accurate data and efficient infrastructure. Yet over time, the Data team started spotting anomalies: unexplained traffic spikes, conflicting partner metrics, and visits that led nowhere.
“It’s easy to notice when traffic isn’t human,” says Jean-Pierre Rabbath, Chief Product & Technology Officer. “Our value is matching real candidates to real jobs. When visits don’t turn into applications, something is off.”
Internal analysis confirmed the suspicion. Up to 15% of traffic, mainly from paid channels and partners, actually came from automated scripts and scraping bots trying to collect job listings or generate fraudulent clicks.
The problem wasn’t just analytical. Every fake visit consumed resources in Jobrapido’s Google Cloud environment, driving up infrastructure costs while skewing marketing KPIs. Even worse, Jobrapido’s internal metrics often didn’t match those reported by advertising partners. The partners, who relied on their own ad-network validation tools to count clicks, arrived at a count that was significantly different from Jobrapido’s.
“We were paying for clicks that would never convert,” says Jean-Pierre. “These discrepancies in how we and our partners measured traffic made it challenging to tell which visits were real.”
The company’s developers tried to address the issue internally, but it was time-consuming and offered no room for scalability. “We’re product engineers, not bot experts,” Jean-Pierre explains. “We needed an accurate solution that would have a clear impact on the revenue.”
The solution: Real-time, cloud-compatible protection for cleaner traffic visibility
The team brought in DataDome, a cyberfraud protection platform that could analyze intent and provide a unified, real-time view of traffic quality. They were convinced not only by the technology itself, but also by how well it fit into their existing environment.
“It was important that the setup matched our infrastructure,” explains the Chief Product and Technology Officer. “We received clear documentation explaining the integration steps and API calls. Though we were concerned about latency, all our tests confirmed there was no performance issue.”
The collaboration also gave Jobrapido a fresh sense of control and visibility over its traffic. With access to detailed dashboards and transparent data, the Data team could instantly see where suspicious activity originated, how it behaved, and how DataDome was responding.
The results: 15% of traffic blocked & renewed trust in every click
Once DataDome was fully deployed, the team quickly noticed the difference. Suspicious clicks decreased, allowing Jobrapido’s Data team to view performance data for the first time without second-guessing it.
“The discrepancies we used to see at the end of each month disappeared,” says Jean-Pierre. “Now everyone is looking at the same data, and we know it’s real.”
With 15% of traffic identified as invalid and now filtered out in real time, marketing spend now goes where it matters: genuine job seekers. This clean-up also lightened the load on Jobrapido’s Google Cloud Platform, reducing unnecessary compute use.
The shift has enhanced the way the Data team works. The time they previously spent on manual checks and log comparisons is now reallocated to more valuable activities.
“Before DataDome, we had to dig through logs and compare partner data manually,” Jean-Pierre says, glad to leave this practice behind. “The fact that DataDome acts as a trusted third party also simplifies discussions and builds confidence with our partners.”
Encouraged by these results, Jobrapido decided to extend DataDome’s protection from partner traffic to all paid acquisition channels. This move further strengthened the quality of incoming traffic: Jobrapido can now measure, invest, and grow with full confidence that its data reflects reality, not bot noise.
Now that DataDome protects all paid and partner traffic, Jobrapido can focus fully on connecting people to opportunities securely, efficiently, and with reliable data.
